Right after the end of the Second World War the society commenced to believe that the world’s basic principles are clear and logical . Both global politics and social relations were depending on the concepts of progress , good innovations , confidence in the rational , awareness , innovations , and the ability to substantiate any phenomenon from a logical point of view . Nevertheless , beginning from the second half of the 60’s, the world commenced to deteriorate and currently , 40 years after , we live in a changed kind of actuality .
We without any problems mark all advancements which are given us by new technology, but we almost never realize the fact that there are certain thoughts standing behind those solutions . The essence of the future adjustment was initially noticed by those people, who as a rule of thumb lived ahead of their time – writers and authors. Among the numerous authors whose books have served for pleasure , there have been several of them who have given people a new vision . They have better than others other authors created and voiced new thoughts and have ultimately done a new intelligent and emotional analysis of the future. They have noticed problems in the mundane of our lives and have shed light onto a number of problems, which were going on without being noticed . They have assisted us to become aware of the new problems , and sent us new ambitions .
These were the authors who have shaped the minds of the entire generation, which has observed the period of dramatic change; change, which was viewed as disarray at the start of the 21 first century. They have attracted our attention to the most problematic dilemmas of the past era ; those dilemmas , which the humankind , having survived through the world wars and wild sufferings , was unwilling to meet . Finally they were voicing the most critical question “How will we live in the world of future?”
In this work we will mention several of the most famous authors of the last century. They have all significantly influenced literature of their time, have manifested tendencies and difficulties which were classic to their society and the period they existed in, and have made the audience meditate on the running system of values, having them realize that it is far from being genuine. One of the most interesting feature of their writing is that in often they have risen the readers’ interest in books and written works. in this case one of the most exciting success works is that of a brilliant author John Cheever.
The achievement of Joan Rowling can be called special as she has become the first author in the world to earn $1 billion by publishing fairytales. She is now spending a noticeable part of her money on charity, fighting poverty and illness. The idea of the book was found while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first agreed to print her book, she has given her 1500 pounds together with a kind advice — to look for a permanent job. He was unaware of the idea that the young author would be able to make money of writing books. Joann has showed the opposite - having written a series of unparalleled fairytales, she has motivated the so-called non-reading generation get back to reading books.
This article is not able to enumerate and more or less precisely list all writers who have made their gift to the today’s literature. They have been writing and putting ideas directly into the heads of the millions, and therefore were shaping the future. Thus, as we can see, these writers were not creating for enjoyment only, but they were also playing a considerable role in molding the culture and the looks of a civilization of the 20th century.
